There's a difference between falling and letting go.

Lauren has a good life: decent grades, great friends, and a boyfriend every girl lusts after. So why is she so unhappy?

It takes the arrival of Evan Kirkland for Lauren to figure out the answer: She's been holding back. She's been denying herself a bunch of things (like sex) because staying with her loyal and gorgeous boyfriend, Dave, is the "right" thing to do. After all, who would give up the perfect boyfriend?

But as Dave starts talking more and more about their life together, planning a future Lauren simply can't see herself in -- and as Lauren's craving for Evan, and moreover, who she is with Evan becomes all the more fierce - Lauren realizes she needs to make a choice...before one is made for her.

I read The Unwritten Rule by Elizabeth Scott and like her writing style. Lately all my books seem to be fantasy/paranormal and I thought I should have something... normal.

Kiss by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler
Release Date: December 16, 2008
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Series: Kiss By an Angel

Love ties them together. Death can't tear them apart.

Best. Birthday. Ever. At least, it was supposed to be. With Logan's band playing a critical gig and Aura's plans for an intimate after-party, Aura knows it will be the most memorable night of her boyfriend's life. She never thought it would be his last.

Logan's sudden death leaves Aura devastated. He's gone.

Well, sort of.

Like everyone born after the Shift, Aura can see and hear ghosts. This mysterious ability has always been annoying, and Aura had wanted nothing more than to figure out why the Shift happened so she can undo it. But not with Logan's violet-hued spirit still hanging around. Because dead Logan is almost as real as ever. Almost.

It doesn't help that Aura's new friend Zachary is so understanding—and so very alive. His support means more to Aura than she cares to admit.

As Aura's relationships with the dead and the living grow ever complicated, so do her feelings for Logan and Zachary. Each holds a piece of Aura's heart…and clues to the secret of the Shift.

This edition contains three books (Kissed by an Angel, The Power of Love & Soulmates). The size of it is a little daunting.

Love Sucks! by Melissa Francis
Release Date: July 27, 2010
Publisher: HarperTeen
Series: Bite Me

AJ Ashe isn’t your typical seventeen-year-old vampire—as if there is such a thing. Her ex-boyfriend—whom she’s still totally in love with—is now her stepbrother. A former classmate—who, um, she may or may not have turned into a vampire—is stalking her. And now, apparently, the fate of humankind lies in her little undead hands. Whatever happened to the good old days when all a vampire girl had to worry about was the occasional zit and hiding her taste for blood?

I read Bite Me and I want to know what's going to happen between AJ and Ryan. Hopefully something.

I've been hearing good things about it. I was suppose to read it when it came out, but forgot it. Hopefully, now that I have it, I won't.

Lately, I seem to be the last person to read everything. Every book on this list is a book I should of read a long time ago. I guess, better late than never.

  6. Thanks for the suggestions on my blog about naming my series. I think I've decided to call it 'Choosing Love'. I'm following you now and how you do the same for me. I also think I need to check out Shade. The premise is imaginative and creative.
