Beautifully rendered, this first instalment of Twilight: The Graphic Novel is a must-have for any collector’s library.

This was my first graphic novel, so I didn't know what to expect. One of the things I didn't like was the fact that there were still images incorporated in some scenes. It just took something away and gave it this retro feel. Maybe this is normal, but I expected everything to be hand-drawn.

I also didn't realized when I ordered it that this is just volume one. I paid more for this (224 pages) than I did for the novel (498 pages) as a hardcover. It goes without saying that there is a lot missing.

The illustrations are black & white except for a few splashes of colour in key places. If I was to rate the art alone, then I would give it 5 stars, even though it's not my style, the artist is very talented.

I know now that graphic novels just aren't for me.
