How did you come up with your blog name?

I found an online anagram maker and started typing in different names of people I know to see what funny words and phrases would be generated. Then I tried my name for fun and to maybe find a new nickname for any future profiles. I'd been thinking about starting a book blog for a while and thought it was kismet when I saw Safari Poet. One of the definitions for safari is "an adventurous journey" and a poet is not just someone who writes poetry, but a person with great imagination and creativity. Put them together and you get, an adventurous journey by a person with great imagination and creativity, which for me is one way you could describe an author.

Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?

Usually I read one book at a time, but lately I've been reading two. They're always different genres i.e., right now I'm reading Afterlife by Claudia Gray and Salvation In Death by J.D. Robb. I don't think I'll ever read two books in the same genre because I might mix them up in my head.

  1. I love how you came upon your blog name. I tried to tie everything together as well. Books, steampunk, & my Madness became Mad Steampunkery & Book Reviews and I must say, I love every min of it!

I have been trying to read one book at a time this year. Success rate is about 75%.

  9. Coming through on the blog hop.

I have no problem reading two books at a time though it does not happen often. I generally like to finish one and then start another

  11. Not everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.

The real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet

  15. That's really cool that you used an anagram generator to find your blog name. Quite clever and the description is wonderful! My heart swelled just reading it (not kidding).
Also, you have a point about reading two different genres if you're multi-tasking. That makes a lot of sense.
I'm a new follower of yours!
