"I'm In Here" by Sia

I’m in here.
Can anybody see me?
Can anybody help?

I’m in here, a prisoner of history.
Can anybody help?

Can you hear my call?
Are you coming to get me now?
I’ve been waiting for you to come rescue me.
I need you to hold all of the sadness I can not,
Live with inside of me...

I think I'm In Here fits the main character Juliette in Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. This song feels so hopeless, like Juliette. She's so lonely and isolated — imprisoned for something she did in the past. The part of the song about someone coming to rescue her and needing that person to help with the sadness, makes me think of Adam.
